UN employee at the centre of bestiality scandal

A Swedish national and eleven girls have been arraigned in a Mombasa court for â€˜engagingâ€™ inÂ illicit sexÂ activities.
The suspects, who were arrested at Mamba Apartment in NyaliÂ were on Friday remanded in custody for three days to give the police time to investigate into their activities.
They were remanded in police custody by Mombasa Resident Magistrate G.O. Kimanga after Kisauni Criminal Investigation officer Shadrack Juma successffully applied for it.

The suspectsÂ are Christopher Clement Weisssenrieder, Janet Akoth Omollo, Mercy Waithera Karanja, Mary Nyambura Kimani, Magdaline Wairimu Chege, Celestine Nekesa Sitati andÂ Dorcus Melishah Indakwa.
The others are Lydia Nyaboke Momanyi, Philidelia Mawia Solomon, Anne Wanjiku Gichuki and Celilia Nzambi Katuku.
Juma told the court that he wanted the suspects to be remanded at the police cell to allow him investigate a case of exploitationÂ prostitutionÂ in which individuals are exposed to sexual activities for monetary gain.
The accused were ordered to be remanded at Nyali police station until Wednesday.
