[VIDEO] Kenyan woman struck and killed by a truck in Dorchester, Boston

A 32-year-old woman was struck and killed by a pickup truck in Dorchester on Saturday morning.

Officials say around 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, the woman was crossing near the intersection of River and Washington Streets when she was hit.

She was rushed to Carney Hospital after the crash, but doctors were unable to save her.

The woman has not been officially identified, but neighbors say her name was Nancy and hailed from Kenya.

The woman was going to school and making arrangements for her son to immigrate to the United States. Neighbors say she had recently moved into her apartment and worked two jobs. Friends said she used the MBTA to get to work every morning.

The driver of the pickup truck did stop at the scene. The crash is under investigation and there is no word yet on whether charges will be filed.

Nancy Kombe, a 32, Kenyan native who lived in Somerville MA, USA, was struck and killed by a truck in Dorchester, a neighborhood of Boston early Saturday morning.
According to CBS local, a local Boston news outlet, authorities said that the woman was killed at around 5.15am. She was rushed to Carney Hospital after the crash, but doctors were unable to save her.

It was not immediately clear where the deceased was headed so early in the morning by the time of the accident.

Unconfirmed reports from Kenyans in Boston responding to the schooling news on face book indicate that at the time of the fatal accident, the deceased Kenyan was 32 weeks pregnant, with the baby passing on as well.

The local Kenyans, some of whom knew the late Kombe said that she hails from Mombasa Kenya and has no known relatives living in the USA.

They added that the late Kombe lived in New Jersey for two years prior to relocating to Boston a year ago where she has been working as a live-in Nurse.

The late Kombe leaves behind six siblings, one son and a step-father.

Unconfirmed reports further said that funeral arrangements will soon commence at the Rapture Harvest Church Mission International located at 33 West Water St, Wakefield, MA.
