A top politician whose alleged scandal was exposed in the current issue of The Nairobian (May 16-22), 2014 has not taken the matter lightly.
According to The Nairobian new vendors in Nairobi, the outraged lawmaker has given instructions to some unknown people to ensure that the paper is “out of circulation by close of business.”
“There is a vehicle buying the current issue of The Nairobian off the streets and the people in the car have told vendors to deliver more copies at Nyayo Stadium,” a vendor said.
According to witnesses, the SUV (pictured) was kicked out of town by traffic police in the early hours of Friday May 16 morning.
“They were spotted buying copies of The Nairobian in large quantities within the CBD and along Kiambu Road. Later on, we saw them burning the papers near a railway line in upper hill,” a source said.
