A pastor was yesterday caught having sexual intercourse with another man’s wife at Majengo estate in Nanyuki town.
Independent Pentecostal Church of East Africa’s Pst Ndirangu, who also manages a security firm in the town, was rescued by police officers after a mob threatened to lynch him.
Francis Kuria, the aggrieved husband, said he suspected his wife, Margaret Wanjira, is having an affair and has been investigating her for some months.
“My family has been telling me that my wife has been having sexual affairs with the pastor but I decided to investigate for myself. I came home after I was tipped off by a neighbour and I found them in my house,” Kuria said.
The seemingly angry and stressed husband that when he found them he locked them in the house and called his pastor and some church elders to witness.
During that time, a huge crowd gathered outside the house demanding to “see” the pastor.
A family member said the couple has been married for four years but do not have a child.
“They had a church wedding four years ago and I was among the people who took dowry to the woman’s parents in Othaya, Nyeri county,” said the relative.
A fellow worshiper said Wanjira has embarrassed other women.
A motorcycle operator in the town said he has dropped the pastor at the home several times, but he did not know what Ndirangu’s mission was.
