Four Kenyan tourists drown at rough Beach in the Dominican Republic

drowningFour tourists from Kenya who came on vacation to the country, drowned yesterday afternoon in Playa Macao, tourist area of ​​Bavaro-Punta Cana, La Altagracia province.

The drowned were identified as Cushs Patel, 31; Cajal Patel, 31; Shivang Ramanbhi Jayendra Patel, 30, and Yay Patel, 32, all four of the Republic of Kenya and US residents. The tragedy occurred when three of the victims tried to save the woman who started chapalear, showing signs of drowning.

The victims were vacationing in the country, according to the police report, and were rescued from the waters of the Caribbean Sea by divers from the Civil Defense.

Initially the bodies of foreigners were taken to hospital in Higuey, and then transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF), which operates in the regional hospital Antonio Musa, San Pedro de Macoris.
