Not a lot of people like trash or dirt. Actually, we don’t think there is anybody that would sit and sift through a mountain of garbage. However, for one woman, dirt has been good. Lillian Libeiyo began collecting garbage three years ago, sorting out plastics, papers and metals for sale. Over time, she began buying this trash from people in that trade and soon enough, her efforts of selling these metals and plastics for recycling began to bear fruit. NTV’s Lizz Ntonjira brings her story in this week’s feature segment, Women and Power.
