[VIDEO] Kenya Pupils During The Day, Hawkers at Night

With primary education having been declared free in Kenya ten years ago one would be forgiven to expect that all children of school going age are enrolled for classes but the reality is that some of the children who should be attending classes are out there in the streets engaging in child labour for survival. Citizen’s Michael Njenga spent time with a group of kids in the streets of Nairobi and tells a story of how innocent children are forced to sell groundnuts at night in search of the daily bread.
