Members of land buying companies and cooperative societies that have finalized sub-division have a chance to get titled deeds within the next 12 months.
The Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development in a press notice on Friday said it will “facilitate efficient issuance of title deeds” to members of such groups who are yet to get their ownership documents.
It asked directors of land buying companies and cooperatives to submit land reference numbers, list of members, information on status of sub-division and title deed copies by December 6.
“The ministry and the National Land Commission intend to process and issue title deeds within one year to members of land buying companies and cooperative societies which have finalised the sub-divisions of their land and paid all necessary legal fees,” read the notice signed off by Mariamu El Maawy, the principal secretary.
