Precision Air Tanzania Services has entered into a partnership with Vodacom Tanzania that will ease payment for passenger tickets through M-Pesa services.
In order to make payments, customers will be required to dial *150*00# and select the Pay Bill option on the M-Pesa menu; then enter Precision Air business number which is 333777, followed by the reference number which is the booking number and the amount to be paid.
According to Precision Air Services Commercial Director, Patrick Ndekana, the service is fast and a safe mode of payment that is convenient for customers to use.
Ndekana said that customers do not have to leave their home or office to pay for their tickets. Earlier customers would either pay online using credit or debit cards or visit Precision Air offices. This alternative gives the customer more payment options.
The service is applicable after a customer has made his booking through precision’s contact centre, website or any of the Precision offices.
Vodacom Tanzania Head of M-Commerce, Innocent Ephraim, expressed the hope that the partnership would give customers and efficient new alternative way to pay for tickets; noting that M-Pesa was a fast and reliable service that had revolutionised the way money is sent and saved since it was launched four years ago.
