Mike Sonko, Rachel Shebesh to face court for city property destruction [VIDEO]

Shebesh_Sonko2Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko Mbuvi and Woman Representative Rachel Shebesh are expected to appear in court Monday for allegedly inciting traders to invade and destroy a city private property.

The two have been accused of leading a group of rowdy people in storming a parcel of land in Buru Buru and destroying the gate and a perimeter wall fence and looting property.

Zoher Pirbahi, the managing director of Tranquility Development Limited and who is the owner of the property, through lawyer Andrew Khakula has moved to court claiming he had acquired the land from the National Council of Churches of Kenya this year.

“The company obtained a legal title to the land and started developing the same including erection of a perimeter wall around the property in preparation for further developments,” he submitted, adding that on June 16, Sonko and Shebesh, accompanied by a mob of rowdy persons, stormed the property, destroyed the gate and part of the wall.
