Kajiado County has proposed the creation of a land management board to solve disputes as investors criss-cross the county in search of opportunities. The county will liaise with the National Land Commission on the creation of the boards.
The county day said it was extending a ban on all land transactions until land control boards are dissolved and plans approval for subdivision is streamlined.

The counties bordering the capital city that have recently taken action on land use transactions include Kiambu and Kajiado.
On Tuesday, the County Government of Kajiado placed an advertisement in the Press extending the ban on land transactions. It also stated that all existing land control boards should be dissolved immediately.
The county government wants the process of plans approval for parcels subdivision, transfer or change of user fully streamlined within the stipulated period.
It also wants all previous orders banning allocations of public land be fully enforced.
