DISCUSSION WITH MS. ROBYN T. EMERSON, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER & PRESIDENT OF THE KENYA PROPERTY DEVELOPERS ASSOCIATION (KPDA)

Friday, 30th May 2014

10:30 a.m. — 12:00 p.m.

Embassy of Kenya, 2249 R Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20008

The Kenya Embassy in Washington D.C. is proud to invite you for a discussion with Ms. Robyn T. Emerson, CEO & President of Kenya Property Developers Association (KPDA). The discussion will take place from 10:30am – 12:30pm on Friday 30th May, 2014 at the Kenya Embassy.

Kenya’s Real Estate market is the largest in East Africa and the 4th largest on the continent. The Real Estate/Construction sectors combined account for almost 10% of GDP and it is estimated that the industry value chain employs over two-million people. Excluding government and product vendors, a great portion of the industry is made up of hundreds of property development firms, professional services suppliers and financiers.

The property industry in Kenya is experiencing a sustained period of growth, with better international ratings and increasing investment from both domestic and international investors as well as multilateral institutions. The devolved government structure has also created new opportunities in the industry.

KPDA, in partnership with Hass Consult, recently launched Kenya’s first ever annual, comprehensive report on the State of Development in Nairobi. The report outlines market performance and indicates warnings for correction.

Ms. Emerson will share the details and findings of the State of Development report and provide professional insight on emerging investment options in the Kenyan property industry. Ms. Emerson will thereafter take questions from participants.

Due to limited seating availability, participation will be on first-come first-serve basis.
